Principal Software Engineer - Los Angeles
Responsibilities:
•Engineer solutions to provide improved business value to the users of our product line
•Participate in the re-architecture of our business-critical applications using PHP
•Develop, maintain, and tune the existing Ruby on Rails codebase
•Assists with integration and troubleshooting of services  
•Responsible for troubleshooting application related issues and insuring/maintaining highest possible application uptime
•Responsible for functional cross training
 
Required skills:
•Five years experience as a Web Developer utilizing LAMP platform.
•Seven years experience in technology or web technology field.
•Strong experience with Test Driven Development
•Strong understanding of and working experience with PHP and LAMP.
•Strong understanding of and working experience with MySQL 5.x or above.  
•Working experience with Ruby on Rails
•Good understanding of internet applications and its workflow technology.
•Excellent problem solving, collaboration and communication skills.
•Bachelors/Masters Degree in a related field.

 
Desired skills:
•Leadership and mentoring skills are a strong plus.
•Java experience is a strong plus.
•Experience with highly transactional and geographically distributed web environments is a strong plus.
•Experience with Scrum, Lean or Agile product development.
