Responsibilities: - Responsible for installation, service delivery and administration of LAMP based Internet server farm, mass storage, LAN/WAN, frameworks and systems applications.
- Performs configuration, integration, maintenance, performance management, security management, failure analysis and recovery, and user support.
- Participates in development, maintains, evaluates and documents administration of systems tools and related strategies.
- Assigned to a particular on-call shift in 24 x 7 high availability environment, ensure that the environments are optimally running and available for without interruption.
- Responsible for cross training of others assigned to a particular on-call shift in 24 x 7 high availability environments.
- Assist management with product selection and vendor relationships.
- Coordinate and participate in the administrative activities and handle projects as needed.
- Responsible for working with matrixes teams on design, architecture, and conduct performance tuning/optimization.
- Responsible for system level programming / scripting on an adhoc basis.
Required: - Severn years experience as a systems engineer or administrator.
- Associate degree in the field of computer science or information systems or 10 years related work experience.
- Extensive experience with operational process in high pace, high SLA 24 by 7 environments. Strong understanding of operational processes and best practices.
- Proven experience good understanding of Cisco based network and LAMP based server technologies. Working knowledge of protocols, and standards, including TCP-IP.
- Strong customer service orientation. Experience working in a matrix and in team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Ability to communicate processes and report on compliance systematically and consistently in both technical and user-friendly language.
- Experience supporting development efforts in highly transactional web environment.
- Good understanding of internet applications and its workflow technology.
- Excellent problem solving, collaboration and communication skills.
Desired: - Working knowledge of MySQL 5.X and MySQL EM is a strong plus.
- MySQL replication and other high availability environment experience is a strong plus.
- Experience with Scrum, Lean or Agile product development is a strong plus.
- Experience supporting commercial software or technology based product development.
- Bachelors/Masters Degree in a related field.
